Mites!

Im in desperate need of some advice! I have to rats and they both seem to have mites. I noticed them scratching a lot a month ago and gave them both a bath. the scratching stopped for a week, started again so i gave them another bath, the scratching is back yet again and i dont know what to do. I use Carefresh bedding, i freeze it. use mite spray daily and nothing works. They dont seem to be infested or anything but i can pick a few off them at a time. Is there something stronger to use to get rid of the mites? Is there bedding that doesnt usually carry mites??? Help, Waffles and Chowder will love you if you can get rid of these nasty bugs for them!

It sounds like lice... get some Revolution from the vet and you'll be all set.

For sure lice as you can't see mites. What wood, material or food product did you purchase that didn't go in the freezer?
