Mimi has an absessed tooth and bad teeth

poor Mimi I'm glad you guys told me to go see the vet...Mimi has a bad absess so bad on the top that you can't see the top tooth, also her bottom tooth on the same side, was so long that it was actually going into her gum poor baby she's now on antibiotics and I will also give her some metacam for pain doc wants to see her back in 14 days if she does good with the antibiotics if it's just a matter of clipping teeth once a week then that's fine but ...we may be facing being pts :sad3:

I do too she's such a good little girl I haven't really given her a good one over because of her babies and because she's been under so much stress with 2 litters then moving here...I wish I would have seen right away she wouldn't have gone through all that pain poor poor girl the way the vet said is that their teeth grow in way back where their eye cavities are and operating even on a tooth you can see is a 50/50 chance of survival, in her case, it's even less because she's so absessed that it's not even possible to see the tooth...so if the absess doesn't go with the meds, it's pts

Are the babies still nursing? Will the meds affect her milk? I know tooth abscesses are really bad. So sorry. :hugs:

I don't think so cause she knows that she's still nursing I took all the babies with her in the carrier and also told her that they were going to be 5 weeks next week so she knew

Oh man... I hate facical abscesses. Dr. Vannevel sure knows about them too since we've brought her quite a few.
I hope to god the meds help her. That poor girl.

awe thanks Jo she was really nice too with my dogs and cats so i don't know her much but every one was really nice there

Would it be possible to ask for a picture without stressing your little girl out? Puzzle has really cruddy teeth and I'm always trying to stay one step ahead of whatever they're going to do next.

I wow she's such a good girl i looked completelly in her mouth she let me but try to hold it open with one hand lol not possible so i will try to get a friend or someone to take the picture while I hold her may take a day or so lol
