Well the Doxy arrived today, now I need to write out some dosage instructions for my babies iffin they need it.
This is what I have: 50mg/mL Doxycycline Hydrochloride (total 250mL/8.4Fl.oz NET)
BUT I suck at math... so I don't know where to start to measure it out.

The RMCA chart says: DOXYCYCLINE
100 mg capsule in 4cc water/fresh daily
2.5mg/lb BID, PO
.10cc/lb for 14 to 30 days

Ok I could figure that out I suppose, but I have a liquid :?
So do I follow that and measure out the .10cc/lb?

Ok, bare with me, I'm not an expert at this either.

If you add 2ml water to the 50mg, that brings it down to 25mg. Are they pills/capsules?

The way I would calculate that would be... weight in kg x dosage, for doxy I use 5 divided by concentration which is 25 if you added 2mls of water to it.

If that is liquid doxy then you would do this:

weight (kg) x dosage (I use 5) divided by 50.

With liquid doxy at 50mg/mL Doxycycline Hydrochloride
You would give 0.05 to 0.1 ml per Ib of rat or 0.05 to 0.1 ml per 454.4 g of rat.
This is given twice a day.

The dosage for doxy is 2.5 mg/Ib to 5 mg/Ib, twice a day (from the Rat Health Care book)
