Did anybody ever used it for ratties with problems with the skin?

Apparently it is very good, but I would like to know if anybody has any experience with it?

Thank you :D

I did a quick search and it says that it isn't toxic at all but they do write that more studies are needed.
I would recommend ring up your vet and ask them what they think?

It's one of the things that my vet recommended for Gretchen who is having a bad time with her skin.
Somebody at work recommended that too, but I don't know anybody who has actually tried it on a rat....
Today I bought it from the health food shop and I put it on Gretchen. Finger cross it will help...

Quite a few people in the UK use Manuka Honey on their rats, reports have been good and it seems to work well at clearing up wounds when used topically ... I haven't used it that way myself, but I do add it to porridge occasionally for my gang as an immune system booster ... it goes down well

Bee propolis is an excellent antiseptic, it is what makes bee hives the most sterile environment on the planet. It treats infections, kills viruses and bacteria - the works.
Even if humans have wounds, you can put any type of honey on it to sterilize it in a pinch if you have nothing else, although unpasterized will probably be your best bet.
What a great excuse for a peanut butter and honey sandwich!

I didn't know about this either

So far I didn't see any improvement with Gretchen's skin but hopefully with a bit more time it will work....

thank you
