My oldest one, zitka has a small lump just on the side of the nose..
Is there anyone who knows what this is, if it's dangerous and if it's anything I could do about it?
He is eating and seems to be breathing fine.
It looks like this

Any type of lump can be cancer but the good news is it might be benign. Dermal bumps and lumps are very common in rats.
Did the vet recommend a treatment?

They did not take a biopsy because of where it was.
I got something to put on it, but it won't work if it's cancer(it COULD also be a talon gland(don't know if it's spelled correctly)
I'll probably have to get him pts in the next couple of weeks or something..
Don't want it to go too far, and don't want him to die here alone if I'm going on vacation..
He's starting to lose some weight(again) and has been sick on an d off the entire year..
