I've seen some awfully icky looking neuter sites unfortunately. I just had my first neuter at my vets (my neutered guy was done by MRR) and I'm quite impressed. They all looked good but Mickey's was the nicest, so I took a pic. This is a few hours post-neuter.

Not my rat, my vet is doing reduced cost neuters for MRR so I helped with transport to the vet.

Your boy looks dashing!

Also, I'm curious: how did you get a neuter from MRR? Is it done by one of the vets associated with them, or MRR themselves? I've been looking into neutering my boys.

I got some rats neutered for MRR, through my vet. Not my rats, or even my fosters, I just helped with the transport and asking my vet to do it.

If you're in MRR's area, they have a list of some of their vets (it will say MRR vet next to it) on their website.
