Losing Luna...Help!

I think I'm losing Luna, my rescue girl :sad3: She's lost a lot of weight very quickly, she stays in the sputnik thingy and hangs her head out. Her breathing is rapid and laboured. She went from looking great, bright eyes, shiny coat bit of a belly to looking horrible in a short time. I don't know what to do! I have some baytril and doxy but her breathing is not noisey at all. I don't know how old she is could it be old age? She's not been sneezing or anything. Help!!!

Can you pull her out and gently feel over her body for internal masses, signs of pain? Do ratphone and see if you hear anything even lack of air going into the lungs? If you hear anything in those lungs start her on abs.

Took a good look at her and lord she's thin but she has been eating. She has a smallish lump just under the ribcage and she is in pain, sucking in sides of belly, but lungs sound fine and heart is racing. Her co-ordination is off as well. She looks so old and frail right now.... :sad3:

The mass could be pushing on her lungs or other organs. I would advise picking up (if you don't already have it) something like infant liquid ibuprofen for the pain. If things don't improve (pain can really do a number on a rat) then take her to your vet and be prepared just in case.

Will be taking her to the vet on Monday, since they were booked for today but, I don't know if she'll make it to Monday. She weighs less than 200g :shock: how much kids Ibruprofen do I give her? I can't believe she's gone down hill so fast
