I noticed this afternoon that Momma Leila has a mammary mass under her left armpit. :gaah:
I have been so busy with Myah and Olive that I missed it.
It feels like a fatty deposit and is the size of a dime.
With spending $ 500 0n Olive I am unable to afford another vet visit.
I am becoming totally overwhelmed by all the issues going on in my life.
Send hugs....STAT!! :thud:

:hugs:

I can relate June-august was a hard month for vet bills for me. Hopefully her grows slowly till you can do something.

It could definitely be a fat deposit or even an abscess. Try and cut back fat and all sugar for now. It may grow very slow and give you some time to save up in case it does get bigger.

I checked on Leila today and her mammary growth is remarkably bigger.
:wallbang: I can't afford to take her to see Dr. Munn. :(
My husband says that I have to pay for the ratties myself.
They eat Harlan, Vegetables, fruit & very rarely anything sweet.
Oh how I wish for a pot load of $$!!
I would get the girls spayed and the boys neutered.
They would be so much more healthier for it.
Send good wishes, hugs and luck that no other ratties become ill.
Can't imagine my life without my furry little friends but I need to limit myself to 3.
Yeah like that will ever happen!!
Gonna go eat chocolate cake now. :thud:

did it show up really suddenly and is growing fast? it might be an abscess...does she scuffle with anyone in her group?

There isn't a wound just her nipple.
Feels harder but still squishy like fat.
Nothing like Miss Myah.
I wasn't checking them daily because of Myah, Olive and the wheezy boys.
I didn't see it last week.
All I wish is healthy happy ratties that live a nice long life.
Who knows how interbred they are.
I think good genetics play a very important part in ratty health.

Ohhh one of those funny little masses under a nipple? those often will stay small for ages and only grow later on.

Yep but this one seems to be growing at a rapid rate.
It swings when she walks and gets trapped under her front leg when she sits and eats.
Doesn't seem to bother her though.

And she's not even a year old :(

I would start saving up for a removal/spay...since she seems to be prone to tumours. I am sorry.

I will but your gonna see me on the news someday soon.
When I can't afford to buy clothes and walk around wearing a barrel!! lol
Better start saving.

Can you get to Kitchener? Dr G does insanely inexpensive tumour removals...
