Could a Rat catch a cold off me? I thought as people test on them because they apparently have similar immune systems or something, it might be possible.

Just wondering if I could give Lady and Curly their cuddles today 'cos i'm unwell.

The only disease that is transmitted to rats from humans is streptococcus pneumoniae.

Ferrets can get our colds though... Its crazy.

This is good timing - I have a massive head cold right now and worried about giving it to the girls when I was cleaning their cage last night. They were playing on my bed while I was cleaning and the poor things kept jumping every time I sneezed.
