I was trimming Jubilee's top teeth this evening - they grow pretty much horizontally at this point.
Trimmed one tooth too much as I cut into the pulp - red center in her tooth.
I think this is the first time I have done this ... although I have been trimming misaligned rat's teeth for many years.
There was a small bit of blood.

Two year old Jubilee has an internal mass in her chest so is on long term pred, chlorpalm & baytril.
(This actually has shrunk the mass.)
I gave a bit of metacam :emb: , and some codeine.

Any thoughts, or suggestions?
Any stories to help me feel a bit better?

My vet has trimmed teeth right to the gum line with no ill effect or pain in my rats. I wouldn't give anything unless it's quite obvious that she's in pain.
