:help2: JJ, who happens to be my most beloved rat, is holding his hand clenched even when walking so he's walking on only 3 feet. I don't think his arm is broken because he was grooming himself and he pulled both his arms over his head to clean it. There is no blood or visible injury that I can see. He seems a bit scared of his cagemate Arthur. I've given him some Metacam in case it's a sprain or something like that. Does anyone think there's something I can do other than keep an eye on him tonight??

I'll try to get a picture but I truly suck at taking pictures, especially close ups!
I'll post it if I get a shot that's observable.

He is holding his paw the way my girls did when someone had bitten their toes. It's probably not bitten, because you didn't see blood, but he could have injured it some other way. :tumkiss: to him.

maybe he pinched it somehow??

i initially thought maybe it could be some sort of mineral deficiency associated with cramping - but im sure you keep a good eye on their diet mumsy...

poor man :(

JJ is doing much better. For a couple of days his little hand would open up a bit after I gave him MetaCam but today it's almost back to normal and that's without getting a dose this morning. I'm sure it was just a sprain of some sort but I pushed the panic button because JJ is so special to me!

I'm happy for you both that JJ is feeling better!
