Is this marking, or something I should be concerned over?

It seems that any time I put my 2 rats on the bed, there are a lot of pee spots all over the bed. I've seen with my g/f's ratties that they don't do this near as much.. maybe a dribble here and there.

Is this something to be concerned about? Could this be because my pet cat constantly sleeps on the bed as well? Could they be on the bed and his scent causes this?

This was after a short period of time on the bed. Under 10 minutes..

Male rats or females? Babies, teenagers or adult?

Female, and I'm not sure if they would be adults but I think so. When I got them in February/March they were still young. So I'd say Adult... I'm not sure how long it takes them to grow from babies to teens..

Rats are adults by the time they are 6 to 7 months old.
Are these rats red/pink eyed rats? They tend to mark more.
But really, it's normal. I had one girl, omg, she marked soooo much, I had to constantly make sure she wasn't a boy. lol

They are gorgeous. The siamese having poorer eyesight might mark more to help her guide herself around.

That's actually a good thought. Mischief (Siamese) never leaves the bed, and always tries to look on the ends of the bed kinda looking for a way down.. meanwhile Queen knows her way safely off my bed and goes everywhere I allow her.

It's good to know it's normal though. Just a bit inconvenient when I set my hand down into a pee spot haha.
