My rat, Scarface, has seemed to have formed what I believe to be a small abscess. its located above and to the side of the his private opening. it must of popped yesterday because I donât recall seeing anything until today. Half of it is gone but some of the hard pus is still there. Should I remove the rest of the pus or let Scarface do that on his own? Just want to make sure itâs an abscess and not something worse.

Visual description: its about 8mm in length and 4 mm in width. Its yellow and in the shape of an oval. There is no sign of blood. With a very little bit of what seems to be yellow liquid. Half of it is gone.
