i currently have 4 beautiful ladies, and yesterday whilst out shopping i saw a lil lady all by herself in the pet shop. im a sucker for lonely rats so had to bring her home with me! (will post pics when she stops running round like a loon) now ive introdused rats before but i wanted to know if you guys had ant tips or tricks into a good introduction
xx

We usually recommend slow intros, first on neutral ground, then on familiar ground... a gradual process but some rats and colonies are friendlier and more accepting.

Here is the intros 101 thread :D

Generally the rule is to give them a week of having cages side by side, start swapping fabric & toys between cages so they get used to their scent being in their area, and then starting with slow, neutral intros. Ladies, especially young ones, are usually pretty easy to intro though, and you don't need to do as much of the side by side and cage swapping stuff.

brill cheers guys. ive swapped some of their things and got them all out on the bed today. i went really well no arguements or tiffs they just ran around the tubes playing hide and seek was lovely to watch!
been trying to think of names for my new lil lady thinking minako or Keva
any ideas?
