Just wondering if incense are safe for rats? My husband and I like to burn them every couple of days or so, the burner is in the same room as the rats but its a large living room, and I always make sure the windows open a little bit for ventilation and the burner is not close to them, do you think thats safe?

I tend not to trust anything involving smoke or scents...I don't use scented candles because I'm afraid it'd affect them... I don't imagine it'd be very good for their little lungs.

No definitely not. Rats have very sensitive sniffers and scents of any sort can effect them. Air fresheners, new laundry soap and especially incense.

Ok, even if I put the incense near an open window or a fan blowing away from the rats? Do you think there is anyway we could make it work without moving them into a separate room. If not I won't use them in the living room anymore but if there's a way to make it work I'd like to try?
