I'm worried about my babies. Again.

When i took Louis to the vet, I noticed he had red around his hind legs where he was licking. so i gave him revolution, two weeks ago, and treatment for staph.

well the scratching got better for a while, but now it's back.

and worst thing is, that my other rat now has red lick marks in the same place as louis.

what the hell could it be? is it still mites? I'm giving him the second dose of revolution in a few days, and I will give some to my other rat as well. This is worrying me. I feel like the health problems never end with my rats, and it breaks my heart because I love them so damn much.

So is this indicative or mites?

recycled newspaper cat litter, and towels. i clean their cages every few days, whenever I notice either a smell or too much poop
