With my two old guys.

Splinter

Splinter is my spoiled rotten old man, I adopted him from a girl who took very good care of him, he was formerly housed with three other males. He got along fine with Samurai (a young male) AND Ben and Archer, but they're too rough for him to be housed with. When I did intros between him and Shredder, they were okay for a few, then Splinter jumped on him. He has recurring URI's and allergies.

And Shredder

Shredder is my older man from a sad situation, he came to me emaciated, with a bad URI and severe bumblefoot, and I suspect he lived most of his life like that. He has no problems with anyone - when both Sam and Splinter jumped him, he squealed and rolled over, and I got them apart. He really doesn't care too much about other rats, he sniffs at them, and goes on his way.

They're the only ones who are alone, and I'd love for them to get together and be happy old men in their last months. I've never had problems with intros before, and I don't want either of those poor old fellas to get injured.

Try introing them in a place they never been before, with food they like and see how it goes. If they are neutered maybe you ought to have a girl with them too to help ease the tension. If not, just try the steps SQ said, she's the expert anyway I just post here now and then lol

They're been next door neighbors for weeks.
And the intros so far have been in a little area on the floor they both hadn't been.

They're both between 2.5-3.

Thanks guys

Wow, at that age, you'd think they would just get along. lol They are old manrats.
I would try having both of them on your lap, see how they do there be quick to stop any bullying behaviour.
