My rat Skittle is not feeling well. After reading some of the posts on here, I think it might be the right thing to do.

He has to two tumors/absesses (one on each side), he doesn't eat as much anymore, he doesn't poo much, his eyes are half shut, and he is always tired.

I'm so worried about him. I might take him either to Dr. Munn, or the local vet. I'll make sure they do it as painlessly as possible if I do.

Skittle is declining fast. He might also be hiding his pain/discomfort.

I just changed his cage and fed him some baby pablum. He is actually eating it to my surprise. He pooed a few times as well.

Dr. Munn's office is closed now and not open till Monday. I will just pray that each day until his final day is not too painful or uncomfortable for him.

I gave him some spring water and he drank it which is good.

Right now he's snuggled in some clean rags. I will keep a close eye on him.

I'll post some more pictures on my blog later.

Sorry about your baby. I know how you feel - I had to put down one of my girls last weekend. When it seems like they're suffering, I feel it's the best decision...

Skittle just passed away. He went peacefully. I am sad yet relieved that he is no longer suffering.

Unfortunately, I wasn't there during his last moments.

I know that he is in heaven now.
