So for two months I've been putting up with screaming disagreements in the CN between I thought mostly Brownie and my girl Riley.. They would box each other consantly and chase. Riley always held her own, tho. Well, Bownie and my other boy Cass have been getting into it more often lately and Brownie ended up with two chunks of fur missing around his eye and a scraped up face a few days ago! I figured it was a defensive move from Cass because Brownie is the one always puffed up and chasing him... So I separated Brownie a couple nights ago but during that night, louds squeks and chasing/pinning continued in the CN! I separted Cass last night and no tussles during the night between the girls and BrownBrown... but I'll have to access more when I get home!
I was prepared to neuter Brownie because he's always seemed more "mature" since I got him, but I'm just wondering if maybe doing Cass now instead would settle them both down... does that ever happen?

Brownie is about 15m/o and Cass is about 9m/o and the three girls are about 18m/o now :)

Brownie and the girls were back to tossing around last night... I might do both the boys if I can get them done at the HS :cheeky: or if its around $100 each at the vet.
Def Cass tho, thanks guys :)

Cass is booked for Monday at our vet's :)

I'm still keeping him separated until after the surgery, but hey he's visiting with me more :)

Ugh, so I had Brownie out on the bed with me while I was writing in my journal and decided Cass could come play too... Brownie started stalking him and making him scream while puffing himself up... I decided it would be best to get him done right away, so put him in the QT cage and Cass back with the girls.. Cass made the girls squeal all night btw. The appt. was for Cass, so I took them both this morning and the vet will just try to find time to do Brownie if possable.

Hey, they both got done today :D Will it take awhile for hormones to get under control tho? Is it okay to leave them in the travel cage together while healing (the dr went thro the abs) or too big of a risk yet?

Glad they made it through surgery. How big is your travel cage? The hormones will take weeks if not months to go away. I would seperate if possible.

Our vet did some wire stitches on the outside to prevent chewing and its worked, but they look funny! We are meant to get them removed a week from Monday.. but they are healing pretty quick, I may need to take them Friday :)
These pics are from only a couple days post-op.

I believe this is the method that Little Mischief's vets use to do neuters. I believe LittleDevils said they found fewer complications, fewer abcesses.
