Okay so everytime I hold Ruby, she just wants to crawl all through my clothes which results in me getting my chest, neck and arms scratched up ... any solutions? Tricks to keep her from going inside my clothes? I'd rather not get scratched everytime I play with her ... :joy:

Trim her claws? I'm afraid there's not really any easy solution other than that...she will go EXACTLY where you don't want her to :p

I don't know if she would let me trim her claws .... if I take her to be groomed at a vets, how would they do that? I don't want her to get scared ...

I just use human nail scissors, hold 'em close to my belly, securing them with my arms, whilst I grab their foot and trim the spike off each claw. It can take a while if they put up a fight, but it can be done, just be careful not to snip the quick, the blood vessel in the claw (it's towards the base and darker than the tip). It can bleed LOADS but dipping the toe in some flour/cornstarch helps stop any bleeding.
Your vet can do it, but you'd be going pretty often to avoid all scratches tbh.

Unfortunately, crawling all over you is part of their fun.
I have "rat clothes" that I keep especially for playing with the rats. Long sleeve and double shirts so they can go in between.

Freeze and or boil them to kill all the buggies/microbes, and make sure its solid and stable so it doesn't fall on anyone(probably safer on the bottommost level, too). and you're fine!

I got a nice big rock today at work, gunna take it home and boil it tonite... She jumped onto my naked leg this morn in the bathroom...owwwww! Lol
