How often to treat with Ivermectin for mites?

My girls have a case of mites and I did a dose of tropical Ivermectin I had on hand yesterday and was wondering when to treat again for best results? Like next week or what? Should I still do that olive oil rub down to smother the adults that may be living, or is that to use instead of meds? Do mites live in the cage and stuff and do I need to clean everything including the room theyre in?

If you did it yesterday (monday), then you need to treat again next monday and then the monday after for most effective results.
