I don't use a wheel for my crew bcause my boy's are massive and they won't fit in them, haha ..even giant spinners.

I let them out for outtime for ateast 2 hours a day, most of which is spent running around in an empty huge coroplast playpin and they live in a double FN which has lot's of things for them to climb and jump on.
Everyone seems to be a good weights, but Oscar look's somewhat more massive ..but not fat, just big!

Is there anything else I should be doing for exercise?

He's so cute stretched out like that. lol But, he could lose a few grams. lol
But... I wouldn't put him on a diet and he already does a lot of exercise, some rats are just a bigger rat and there's not much you can do about that. Alpha rats are generally bigger. Is he the alpha in the cage?

Some veggies are pretty sugary, carrots and peas for instance... so you could give him less of those, if he's currently getting lots.

Carrot's & Pea's are a rear treat, they mainly get kale, spring mix and broccoli.

Jo, he has lots of bird ropes and perches he climbs on ..I don't use the ladders in the cage.

I like to sit in the middle of the stairs with my rats and let them climb up and down. It's easy and they seem to enjoy pulling themselves up.

what i do to exercise my three rats i take them upstairs in a spair room and just let them run around and they love it and i also put them on a diet sometimes so if you have a spair room somewhere that would be great!!!

My girls have free range of the whole living room and dinning room, so their always running across the room and climbing up furniture. That and them chasing me, me chasing them and consantly keeping them out from behind the pellet stove keeps us all pretty busy at play time lol. They also have a wheel that they both use.

And those pictures are way too cute!

So adorable! I just wana scritch his belly. xD;;

I still need to get a good play area for my rats, but they're still getting use to me. I let them run around on the couch. I'll soon have a good area set up for them, but I need some barriers. The bathroom I have in mind isn't very big, but I've been considering trying to clear out the spare room out side of it, or at least part of it to use as well. =3

It sounds like he had a good diet and a lot of things to keep him busy in his cage and exercise and all. Sounds like he's a big happy guy. xD;

my girls have a wheel, get free range time for 2-3 hours a day and I have a "playtime cage* (big ferret cage) that i've set up with ALL their extra toys that don't fit in there "house cage" that they go in every second day for a couple of hours.
