Hey All
So the SkinKids turn two on St. Patty's Day and I've been very happy that they haven't showed a wink of growing old (less a lump each), however upon cleaning cages today I found the SkinKids curled up in their Strawberry (thx again Sharlees). I thought they looked SO cute, so I grabbed my camera to take some pics. The 1st pic showed something quite odd, it seemed that one of Davey's eyes was cloudy and upon further inspection I sad to report that Davey Jones has a cataract developing in the left eye... :sad3:
Now I'm not too worried about the cataract itself (except that it screams OLD MAN at me) but I'm worried that now I have three critters all with cataracts, could I be causing them somehow? I often keep my desk lamp on in the evening before I go to sleep (which is around 10pm) and I make sure to open my curtains open wide every morn so the critters and plants can get some sun. Could this cause cataracts?? I feed them properly and everything I clean them often and take them to the vet when they're sick...I'd really prefer not to have a room full of blind animals (it's just depressing).
Thanks so much if anyone has any ideas
