As many of you know, Cheese and Crackers are my two adopted girlies and today I got them meds (Doxycycline) for a resp. infection.
They needs 1-2 drops, three times a day. The vet also mixed it up with honey ( or something sweet like that ).
Problem: they WILL NOT take it. I even mixed it in with some peanut butter oatmeal.. and still nothing. If they do try it they then go into this manic cleaning of the paws and mouth. Like, frantically licking their paws and washing their lower face.
So my question: what the heck am I supposed to do? They're pretty terrified of me as it is, so they don't readily take things.. but I thought peanut butter was a sure-thing!
Any other ideas?
