Our girlies are getting so big! We're seeing rat behavior that's appropriate for their age. We've had a training setback regarding holding and petting them when I became sick with pneumonia (not covid related) and had to be resting. I'm back to training them. I'm being a little bit more intense about the training while taking cues from them when they're done.

They still don't really chew on anything yet. I find applewood sticks here and there that one of them has been chewing on. Most of the time they are chewing on their pumice stone. Is it because they're still juveniles that they aren't really actively chewing yet? Sugar and Spice are not out first pair of rats and I've never seen a rat that doesn't like to chew. I'm making foraging toys where they need to chew to get to the goodies inside. Even then, it's just the bare minimum to get to those treats.

They are the pickiest eaters I've ever seen! They dislike fruit! They also dislike the puffs and Gerber cookies. I tried to give them a small piece of an animal cracker and they didn't eat it. It seems like they don't like the sweet stuff. I feed them Oxbow food as their main diet.
I'm looking forward to everyone's input!
