Green Mush?

I remember a long while back reading something about a thing called green mush, which supposedly had some sort of life lengthening properties for rats. Anyone know what this green mush is? Anyone tried testing it on a group of rats to see if there was a difference in average life spans? Just wondering if it might be something worth a try, or more likely a waste of money and effort.

It is suposed to be a very good food, but the cost is to high for many people, such as myself.

I was primarily wondering if it might have the potential to lengthen the average life span, even if only by a few months or so. But if it's just a healthy supplement, then I too wouldn't want to spend the extra cost since I'd need enough for 6 rats--and I think I already feed them a really healthy diet anyways with an eye toward antioxidant rich foods.

I don't know really if it's worth the cost. I tried something similar several years ago and didn't seen any kind of difference.
