I made the 1-hour trip to Dr. Munn's office to see Dr. Hammond--she was an absolute doll! Maybe it was just because she was my first rat vet, but whatever it was, I totally adored her! Gentle with the rats, and seemed very knowledgeable.
I got Doxy, Baytril and Metacam (Doxy 0.02ml, Baytril 0.06ml, and Metacam 0.04ml, if I remember correctly! XD The medicines are in the fridge at the moment) for the two boys. They're very sneaky at pushing the syringe away at the very last second lol. I think I got at least 1/3 of the medicine on my hands, rather than in their mouths... And I'm pretty sure another 1/3 was smeared on their paws and chins. They looked VERY happy with themselves... Hopefully I'll get better at this.
What do you guys do if you don't have an extra set of hands to hold your rats captive while you're trying to give them medicine?
