A couple of months ago I got MissGuardians Oliver 'cause he started biting and she was quitting rats.
When he came to me he went back to being a playful rat, when he got a friend, Skakkus. Oliver had problems with my big pack but he was happy being with Skakkus. Skakkus died a couple of weeks ago, and when he did I neutered Oliver. Then Oliver started biting. He won't let anyone touch him and he puffs him self ups and bites if you come too near his cage.
I know it's a bit early to expect the hormones to be fine, but he was calm before neuter.
Any ideas?

Pain? Can you attempt to give him a good feel over or maybe slip him something for pain to see if it stops?

He sounds like a sensitive boy. Losing his friend and having the surgery at the same time may have been too much for him emotionally. Give him time and work on trust training again. If he was dealing with hormones 2 weeks is probably not long enough.
