I am such a bundle of nerves. I have decided to neuter my 5 intact rexzillas because they are not happy. We had 7 rexies boys, Angelo, Fabian, Lear, Frederick, Demetrius, Cupid and Cobweb. Fred passed during recovery. Fabian was neutered and did amazing during the whole thing and is now a changed manrat. My 5 remaining will be done soon. I will know today when just waiting to finalize the appt with my vet. I am letting my actual vet do it so he can make something off us for a change.

I am hoping that day to take romeo and Sendai in as well. They are a group of 8. Romeo, Sendai, Sebastian (Neutered) Tart(neutered) Chimp, Tweek, they have two girlfriends Choxi and Pixie who were spayed a long time ago. Romeo and Sendai are ruining the whole dynamic of the cage. They fight constantly. But only one slight gash which was after intros and when I found out they needed a neuter.

So 7 boys to be neutered.

I have lost all my girls just about. Having a boy group of 18 males to 1 female which she wasnt even intended for that group but the rexzillas beat her up bad so she was removed for her own safety. I want a decent mixed group size. The 7 girls will be added to that. I may or may not add the others. It would be awesome if i could get them all together then they would have free range in the rat room 24/7 lol.

so 7 girls will be spayed too. This should be the final neuters here. The end is near. I cannot believe it. I have been neutering boys for so long LOL I may still find some of my remaining intact boys will need it but not from what i can see at this point.

I am hoping to have the sexes done in one day. So 7 neuters then the 7 spays on another.

:thud: Sounds very very stressful, I hope it all works out for you

Very stressful indeed. I have two baby boys going in on July 20th and I'm already stressed out about it, I can't imagine being in your shoes.

At least you are turning your vet into a neuter pro. ;)

So Sendai and romeo have been getting worse. Generally it is a bunch of bark and no bite. He did bite them when I tried to put him in intros with the mass group a few months back so I quickly decided that he wouldnt be part of that. Yesterday I heard noise, broke it up, kait broke it up once this morning and I found them again. Enough for me I called and got them in on monday. So over that noise. I cleaned the cage and that triggered stress with Little sendai. I was going to put choxi in with him but she has a little bite mark so he is alone in part of the FN and the other 7 are in the top part. I think he is probably best to be alone because he is so stressed out. He will be one in august so i guess his second bout of meaness is hitting.

I am still upset with him LOL

Romeo is on they left. Sendai on the right.

I left them apart since saturday, I know 2 days isnt generally enough to make intros be needed again so right after the surgeries once we got home I put them back together, I cannot have him alone for one I suck with lone rats. I am hoping that the hormones go away as fast as they did so we can keep them together. I will probably manage the time in the cage for a few weeks to give the hormones time to simmer down. I guess that depends on what I see when they wake up. I will have them in the living room with me so i can keep a close eye on them.

These two did fine during their neuters. I had them done at my vets office instead of the clinic since it was such urgency with the attitude. His wife is the vet at the clinic so they talk about my rats LOL. It was cute each one had a rat one day and so they texted each other telling them what their rats did.

He did two different techniques on the boys and used a different type of internal sutures so we can figure out what is causing the lumps they are getting. Which just totally impresses me. because they care enough about my little fellas to help their recovery go smoothly.

I have the 4 dumbo girls from Eagle scheduled on Monday so they will finally be spayed now they are better and bigger.

I still have an appt at the clinic for 4 girls on the 30th which I plan on taking the 3 other girls and most likely cash since he wont stop humping and he is being a bugger to the boys. Not mean just annoying with his humping LOL

I still have the rexzillas to do but cobweb became deathly ill this weekend and I am just now feeling like he will be ok. So it may be a little bit for them.
