MMMM GOJI BERRIES. me along with my girls just LOVE them. there always seems to be a bag of dried goji berries floating around my house.
goat whey is a very good protein supplement for people steering away from meat, for humans. although when ever im drinking it i always give my rats a little taste once in a while because it's good for the immune system. also while researching a while ago i found that, sadly, goat whey seemed to ease inflammation, especially with colitis and other bowel difficulties. goat whey provides alot of health benefits in humans. so while i have found no official research on the benefits to rats i suspect that my rats throughout the years have been surprisingly healthy due to things like goat whey i give them. i.e VERY little trips to the vet do to colds and other preventable health issues. once a month i would mix a little goat whey, already mixed into a liquid or not, with a little sugarless rolled oats.

i also have come to aware that goat whey can aid with the loss of usuable limbs or paralysis? im not sure how to word that correctly but i think everyone under stand what i mean i dont remember the medical but alot of people have post on here about the loss of usage in the hind legs. so maybe this benefit is transferrable to rats? i of course can't be sure, just a thought

anyone else have any thoughts or opinions, good or bad? or know of other products like this? i'm vegan so im keen on interesting new foods or ideas. but i do not rub off on my rats. they just love gnawing of some chicken bones and gobbling up all the carnivorous stuff they can.

I did a quick google and didn't find anything in regards to rats and goat whey. The only issue I would think is that rats require very little protein. But if given very occasionally, it can't hurt.
I did see a few places where it claims that humans with joint problems do benefit so I can see why you think rats with HED would do better on it.

If you are vegan, shouldn't you be staying away from goat whey? I thought vegans had nothing to do with animals or by product of animals?

yes, i guess i shouldnt be going around saying im 100% vegan. with things like goat whey. when i was younger i got very sick from not eating properly and not knowing my stuff as well as i should have. but i really didn't want to actually eat meats so i was pushed into supplements like goat whey. so i guess im more of a vegetarian. but because of stuff like goat whey im healthy again, so i can't complain too much about it. i see why you might be sceptical or confused though lol.

and as for too much protein for rat. that is true, but yes, when occasionally given for nutritional value, and not as a treat more often i think it's great.
