So as you know I've got the two boys Ollie and Dexter and I've put a few posts about them lately, Ollie is the very outgoing boy he is so gentle you give him a treat and he's not wary at all he's just so laid back and when I'm there he comes to the front of the cage looking for me he just loves spending time with me but my other boy Dexter he is just still so skittish and he's started biting he bites my hand when I try give him a treat if I give Ollie attention he bites my hand he's just become so wary and it's worrying, is there any causes to this drastic change in behaviour or? I've had them about 2 months now ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416154865.156744.jpg

Could it be that Dexter is starting to be hormonal? I believe your boys are reaching 4 months old... I had Flash and Ivan neutered at 4 months old and those hormones were starting to work (constant marking, greasy coat...). Some boys don't deal very well with that flow of hormones and become a bit more "aggressive" - sometimes even quite monsters, I have scars from a very hormonal boy, Pollux - neuter is an almost guaranteed solution in that case - even Pollux became a sweet teddy bear

That or he's been watching Dexter on TV too much :giggle:

Can you spend extra time with Ollie, lots of picking up, cuddle and kisses and put back down. As well as handing him treats from the palm of your hand. Or put mushy yumminess on your fingers which should help him lick as opposed to bite. Show him that when hands are around, good things happen.

I can tell Dexter is reaching hormonal stage he's really snappy with people he's really quick and his fur coat is just scruffy looks so greasy! Gonna try get the neutring booked in so hopefully things will get better, he has become really territorial as well they were very well litter trained and Ollie is still the sweet well trained loving boy but Dexter doesn't care about the litter box anymore and has starting to destroy the cage I just hope he doesn't start bullying Ollie or that could end up messy

Ollie isn't the nipper I must have worded it wrong, I meant when I go to stroke Ollie Dexter has drawn blood by biting me almost telling me to get off him
