gerber banana baby food - mostly false claim

Gerber is asking everyone to return all banana baby food expiring 2012; they may contain pieces of glass. bar code 761303308973

Edit: I checked this on snopes.com
It turns out that it was one piece of glass in one jar of baby food sold only in France and that batch of baby food was recalled.
The above bar code is incorrect.
There is a picture on snopes.com you can look at if you are unsure.

 

I have Gerber Banana and rice cereal expires in 2010 not open yet ..

"Jar" means jarred banana baby food...I wouldn't worry about any other products until you hear otherwise.

Ditto. The regulations for baby food/formula in North America are pretty strict and they would recall a product even if there was just a suspicion of something being wrong and it would be well publicized.
