Smitty will be getting neutered since I didn't spend as much money on Naira as I expected...someone should benefit right? He's a loooovely boy with people but other rats turn him into a wet-sided hormonal puffball. He will need friends so he needs a neuter.
Along with him I have added the following rats;
Frida (had tumour removal not that long ago) but she has developed a really terrible URI that is not responding to baytril/doxy. Now her belly is swollen and puffy and she's bleeding vaginally. UGH. Her respiratory issues are probably too much for even the thought of surgery, so I am not sure what we can do at this point, besides try to get that URI under control?
Edited to add: Percy was moved in with the oldies, and seems to be doing much better, he has a reprieve from his final vet visit.
Percy's tumours and resp issues have become too much. He got stressed today and started open mouth breathing, so i decided enough's enough, and I am taking him in to be pts on Monday.
Waco, not sure yet. I only discovered after the vet closed, that his head looked wide...I felt along his cheekbones and didn't feel any real difference then I saw under his jaw. Poor poor Waco.
We'll see how he does this weekend. :sad3:
Jill...sigh, my sweet tiny nursemaid. We have her resp issues under control mostly, with little downturns. Her weight is decent again (a huge issue for her), but now she's showing neuro symptoms. I have put her on Dex to see if it helps but I think I shall just try to keep her comfortable for this weekend and let her go on Monday. She's bruxxing, and sleeping with me again (she hasn't done this since Hope left us).
Watch this short video of her with Waco, but watch for the little headlift
