Fighting?

My girls seem to be all of a sudden fighting. Science was born in February and Marceline was born in January. They were fine together the first two week and the past two days they have been tearing all over the cage. I worry I will have to separate them. Any suggestions?

Also what are the signs of mites? They seem to be itching a lot and darting around.

Sounds to me like they are coming into their heat cycle and that will create a more aggressive playing but at their age, it's still part of playing, very normal.
The best way to look for mites is if your rats, even if it's just one of them have tiny little scabs.

Look really good around the neck and under the chin - separate the fur they are easy to miss
