OK so my little Diamond has been having porphyrin around just one eye which she seems to be "squinting" from...the other eye is fine. I looked at the weepy eye and the eye itsself is not cloudy...she is dbl rex...is it true they don't have lashes therefore more likely to get dust and things in their eyes?
Other than the squinting and the porphyrin around the eye she is happy, and very active poppig around, eating, grooming, pestering her sister...she doesn't sound congested or wheezing...is it possibly she might have a bit of dust from her bedding in her eye?
Seemed to show up right after we had they out for play time a cpl days ago an I cleaned their cage and put in clean bedding, I am using boxo for bedding, its not as dusty as the carefresh but is much smaller pieces...Oh and they stole some tissues from the tissue box and stuffed them in their bed...maybe dust from tissues?
Is there a way to clean the eye, maybe some saline people use for their contacts? see if that helps settle it a bit? I don't think its bad and I have read about it, that its normal to a certain degree.
I will see if I can get some pics.
thanks in advance!
