E-spay

Does anyone here have experience having a rattie E-spayed? I just got a female and she does not look pregnant however I don't think I am willing to take chances, especially since she is going to need a spay in the near future anyway to move in with the boys. Are the risks the same as an uncomplicated spay? She is young, but not too young, probably between 4-6 months old.

I don't know much about it, but the closer they are to giving birth the more complicated it is.

I think that if it's very very early in the pregnancy, it's not too different.

If she doesn't have a belly showing or even her nipples aren't prominent, then I would think that it's pretty safe to have it done now... the sooner the better.

Preferably with a vet with experience in and comfortable with doing the procedure.

i called my regular vet, he wasn't in so they are going to have him phone me to chat first thing tomorrow about getting an espay.

*If my regular vet is unable to do an espay, would anyone in NS, preferably Halifax area be able to refer me to a vet?
