I've been meaning to review this place for a while. This is where I took Bodhi and Davros. Dr Levine is very high energy, likes rats and talkative! He is not laid back, you can tell he is very much 'go-go-go' - a vast difference to Dr Munn's calm demeanor. I felt I could have a dialogue with him about potential treatments. He was very open to trying Davros on DEX for the PT but was at the same time very realistic about Davros' prognosis. Bodhi, who was wheezing, he put her on Baytril and Doxy right away. I've read so many people who have to fight and argue with their vets to get the proper drug combos - so it was a relief he knew what to give her immediately.
I can't find my receipt, but the cost for EVERYTHING (check up for two rats, drugs) came to about $150-170.
It's not too hard to get to their clinic as they are situation not far from the St. Claire W subway station.
CONS: Not all the vets there treat rats, so you do have to wait for when Dr Levine is in and has an opening. They are a fairly small clinic as well so at times you almost feel like the vet is tripping over the receptionist. There was a bit of a wait but it's good to know they don't just rush every patient through; I don't mind waiting a bit if that means somebody else's pet gets better care but just a head's up so you don't have plans right away after the appt! They also don't have all the drugs on hand and need to outsource to a nearby pharmacy so that meant I had to make a trip back to the clinic to pick up the meds.
