doubling up on meds...?

Okay, I may have imagined/hallucinated this. But I could *swear* saw in some thread once that for BID antibiotics, the dose could be doubled in the morning and given only once a day. Is that for real, or am I thinking of something similar and just mixing things up in my head?

No, if it's BID that usually means the med is out of the body by 12 hours and needs another dose to keep fighting the illness.

Cool, thanks. I don't know why I thought I read that somewhere. Wishful thinking, maybe, since medicating a stubborn rat once a day would be preferable to going through it twice a day. Yeah, most def wishful thinking.
