Does my boy have HED?

I was told last night that he does and I want to be sure before I start treatment ... Its the hooded boy I am concerned about the other boy has a thinning patch on his butt but thats all that seems wrong ( also these are the bonding videos so if you have anything to add on that lol) I figured he was just walking funny since his recent neuter

He looks like an older boy, walks a bit flat footed (waddles) but I don't see HED as such. It looks like your intro's are going really really well, nice and calm. Can you do me a favour though? Can you take a sniff of Yuki's left ear? I saw Apollo sniffing it and just see if you can possibly smell infection (Inner ear)?

Apollo is doing very well for a boy who was originally doomed to live the single life, before you took him in and changed his life for the better. :thumbup:

Of course The rescue also has meds for that so I can contact them if he does. I thought he was just sniffing and cleaning him. i'm still new to rat body language

Could how he walks be from the neuter or is that just from living in a hamster cage? Poor guy had a rough life.

I am very glad I could give this to him I am adopting two babies just in case. I dont know how old either of my boys are and if one passes I dont want the other left alone again And in all honesty its cheaper for me to buy 40 lbs than 12


How old would you guess they are? I know Yuki was purchased last november but thats all the history I have on either of them

It looks like a good intro so far. I give them a bowl of yummy food and water and I have a towel in the bottom of the tub.
Which one has HED? It didn't look like that to me. They are gorgeous boys.

They are in Apollo's cage right now Apollo likes to sit on Yuki and eat lol but They dont really eat anything other than their veggies and pellets

Yuki looks young to me (around a year?), and Apollo looks more middle aged. What did the rescue say?

rescue has no history on either Yuki was dropped off while I was there Apollo was surrendered in a hamster cage no information given
