I have read many pages on the internet and seen many youtube videos of people lightly tossing their rat's in the air and having them land on something soft. The rats seem to enjoy it but want to got some trusted opinions on the matter. When my two ratties are out I want to find fun things to do with them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I did it to one of my ratties once - into a pile of soft pillows with a fluffy blanket - and she loved it.
I never did it again though, just because I was worried she'd get hurt.
Kinda like tossing a child into a pile of fluff, I guess. They might enjoy it but...

I had a couple of rats who absolutely loved it. One especially would run pop-corning back to my hand for more. But, I NEVER tossed them high or fast and they always landed on something very VERY soft. These girls also use to love to jump and climb ropes so they were different anyway. :giggle:

I too would have rats who loved it. They would come running for more and place themselves in my hand waiting for lift off. I didn't do it too often.

One of my old guys adored it (sort of like yours did jorats)...they would run back and sit waiting to be tossed again.

The same guy liked to be slid across the floor too *sigh* maybe he was just special

I have done that in the past...onto a soft pillow, on a soft bed and just a teeny toss...they did love it...they would run back and beg for more! LOL

As for people tossing little rats in the air and catching them? Eggggh no!

yeah, mind were always aimed at the couch/bed and tossed very small distances...not talking about chucking them across the room onto a small pillow

Yup. I never pitched mine like a baseball. It was very short distances, very low, and they always landed very lightly on soft cushy pillows/blanket.

My dad also tossed me lightly in the air and I'd laugh my head off. I survived but maybe that explains some things :cheeky:
