So Zoe are new rescue was officially moved into the double FN tonight with my other 5 rats but I'm a little worried it might have been too soon :? Intros this week went awesome and she got along really well with 4 of the 5 but surprisingly the only one she had trouble with was the youngest girl Lily. There are 3 boys and 3 girls btw including Zoe and all rats are between 5 months and 1 year. So Lily was puffed up for the first two introductions but after that she got much better and the next two intros were overall pretty good there was still the occasional fighting (not violent, no blood or missing hair) just stand offs and wrestling between Zoe and Lily. So I decided to move them in tonight. I disinfected the FN and moved things around a little and put everyone in about an hour ago and for the most part its been ok but every 15min or so Lily and Zoe have their little standoffs. I know this is to be expected with boys but is the same ok for girls? There in the same room I sleep in so I'll be able to hear if any big fights break out, so do you think its ok? I'm only nervous because Zoe has always been a lone rat until we got her a couple of weeks ago and I worry she doesn't know the "rules" of socialization which is causing problems but she is so good with the other four. So what do you think I should do? Should I put her back in her cage tonight or see how things play out overnight? Thanks in advance!
