Chloramphenicol

Has anyone had any luck with this med? I don't see it being used very often..

Not for respiratory infections and I find it's really brutal on the digestive system. It's supposed to be good for abscesses and ear infections though.

We've only used it short term and didn't have any success with it but we were battling a nasty tooth infection so I didn't expect it to help much at the time.

Yes.
I have had excellent results using chloramphenicol palmitate.
