Helloooooo.:)
I'm just curious...can two different sized rats live together? I have two "small" rats, but if i were to adopt a "large" rat would the large one attack the smaller ones?

Also - its great to be back on the board!! I've been gone for quite a while, hopefully i can resume normal activity on here. :)

*looks at the two eensy girls housed with the small dog/large squirrel sized Moby, then looks at the dwarf rat housed with normal sized girlies*

Not a problem here...

it depends more on their personalities then their sizes. when i first got Bella (my little rat) she would try to jump the big ones lol.
Theyre all good friends now tho, it just took some time.

The size of the rats does not matter.

When introducing new rats, there are established gradual steps to follow so that no one gets hurt.
The length of time it takes to do an intro depends on the personalities, age and previous experiences of the rats involved.
Baby rats (those under 3 months) see new rats as new playmates and can usually just be put in together.
Rats over 3 months of age know that unfamiliar rats may hurt them or challenge the social hierarchy so intros are a gradual process.

I usually wait until babies are a little older... I wouldn't intro 8 week old babies as an example. Once they fully trust you though and are confident it should be fine.
