Caddy was very lethargic today, after being active yesterday. I really thought that she was dying this afternoon, then she took some baby cereal with Boost and moved from the top to the bottom of the cage. Tonight she was very unresponsive & would not take any of her meds. She would not even lick a bit of liquid from my finger. By after midnight, when she was no better, SQ came over to the rescue :D . She managed to syringe in all the meds, with lots of breaks in between for us to pat and cheerlead her, then did a sub-q injection of saline.

Caddy was pretty tired by the end of it all, when we put her back in the cage. But... good news! When I took up some greens for them to eat, Caddy latched on to a piece of lettuce and was munching it. Her paws often club, and her front legs are still quite stiff, but she was managing to eat the lettuce. Fingers crossed for a bit more time with her.

I am zonked from late nights with Caddy and Jack, so I am finally off to bed. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Poor Caddy is lethargic again, unwilling to take anything other than a few licks of her daddy's Sunday porridge. At this rate she will soon be as dehydrated as she was last night, and the light has gone out of her eyes.

I have a call in to the on-call vet, with plans to take her and Jack in. :(

I'm so sorry; it's awful losing one, never mind two. Watching the little loved ones go downhill is very straining; all you want is for them to be okay, or to just be able to go peacefully in their sleep. It doesn't happen often that way, does it?

They had good lives with you. Many hugs.
