I am so relieved. Cadillac is healthy and a good size, but Sammie weighs only 245 g at about 6 months old, despite a couple of weeks of extra feeding by SQ and then me. But my vet was able to spay her. I really wanted them to be done asap. Cadillac is at least a year old, and I was afraid that she might encounter an unaltered male over Christmas at the sitters'.

Girls doing well. :joy:

I was so worried about them and about Clodhopper that it was good to be busy at work this morning!

My sweeties are snoozing together on a Snuggle Safe tucked inside a snuggle sack. They don't seem at all hungry, but they have food available if they change their minds. I'm keeping them downstairs with me in the "hospital cage" for a few hours until I feel OK about putting them back with Caramel, although I felt awful leaving Caramel alone all day.

Turns out Sammie was the easy spay! She is tiny, but she has very little fat. Cadillac is about a year old, and she evidently has some abdominal fat that made the surgery a challenge. That was the case with Edith, who took a while to recover from the pain.

It is a relief to know that today's surgeries went well for the girls and for Clodhopper. I'll go to check his thread now....
