Ok honestly I have seen tons this week. I really would like a day without issues lol I am on the couch with the crabby bottom boys and loki laid on his back and I find this on his front paw

Is this bumblefoot? And what treatment stops it if it is?

If not what can it be?

I looks similar to bumblefoot but I have never seen it on a front paw before... I'll wait until someone more experienced weighs in and confirms it is bumblefoot. :hugs:

That is what bumblefoot would look like but I don't think it is since it's in the front. Bumblefoot is like bedsores, it's a combo of pressure spot and bacteria.
I'm betting it's an abscess or infection of some type. Clean it with saline a few times a day. If you have baytril on hand, I'd start that as well, if not, I don't think it's a rush to get it yet but do keep an eye on it, you don't want it getting ugly. (although, it's not very pretty now either. lol)

they are on doxy baytril and metacam as it is.....i have no idea what he did to it. but I have two with sores on them, toby back, and loki's foot. It looks like a mini version of Toby back sore, It looks less angry this morning.

you can get bumblefoot (pododermatitis) on all 4 feet.

have yet to completely 100% get rid of it, i think there may be a genetic factor to it. horrible stuff!

we had a skinny pig come into work several months ago with severe bumblefoot on all four of his feet the poor little thing i felt so bad for him!!
