I adopted Bowen from a previous owner who did not look after him properly. He was housed on sawdust and was given hamster muesli. Muesli itself is not good for any animal, but giving hamster food to a rat or any other small animal it isn't meant for is really unhealthy. Bowen here, was very lucky and lived for 3 and bit years. He was a brilliant rat, he loved cuddles and kisses.
