I know this might seem odd, but I've never encountered it before. My rat Skittlez is normally a very sweet and happy rat. She will brux and boggle contently and quite often.

But lately I've been noticing that she is boggling sometimes while she is pooping. In fact, it's got to the point where if she is out running around on the couch or the bed and I see her stop and start to boggle, I know to grab a tissue to clean up.

She is on a few different antibiotics at the moment for respiratory issues (Amoxicillin, Baytril and Doxy), so I am wondering if her tummy is bothering her a bit and that might be why she is boggling while pooping. The poop is greenish in colour.

I've started to give some probiotic yogurt in hopes that it will help replenish her gut flora and tummy issues will no longer be a thing.

Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this with their rats before?

I've never seen that before, but I must commend you for paying such close attention and getting a jump on treating her.

yes, bruxing can also be a sign of pain so it makes sense that eye boggling could be a sign as well. http://ratguide.com/health/basics/signs_of_pain_in_rats.php
I haven't experienced it, but I have had rats that had their bowel movements effected by antibiotics

In case you are unaware, make sure it is not given within 2 hrs of the antibiotics as dairy can decrease the effectiveness of some antibiotics, plus antibiotics will kill the helpful bacteria you are feeding her. A bit each day from a small bottle of probiotics with thousands of active bacteria might be more effective then yogurt (it is for people).

Hope she is soon feeling much better
