Bloody Stools!?

I haven't been on in a while thanks to working constantly, but I really need some help/info. Ralphie was just out and I noticed he had a few boody stools. He hasn't eaten anything red in the past few days and it's definitley blood, there was a little on the cardboard where he had pooped as well. I wiped his bum with a warm cloth because there seemed to be a tiny bit crusted there as well :sad3: He will be 2 1/2 next month and has been having a lot of respiratory problems lately. He just came off prednisone a week ago. Not sure if any of that is related. Do you think it's from constipation/straining? I just gave him some ensure with a little olive oil in it in case he is constipated and he drank that for a while so at least I don't think he's in too much discomfort/pain. Any ideas? What else can I do for him tonight? I'll be giving the vet a call in the morning to see what he thinks. Thanks ahead of time!

Sorry, I can't really give you any advice on treatment. I do think that a vet visit ASAP is in order. Good luck Ralphie!

I'd get him to a vet as soon as you can. For now, olive oil is good. Hopefully it's just surface cut and nothing too serious.
