My rat Pearl has always been good she never bit me but all of a sudden she started biting me and i have no clue why my others never bite me and its weird i cant leave because my family wont look after my girls like feed and water them take them out because they are scared of being bitten and i always hold them.
Is There anything I can do?? :gaah:

she might be in pain or sick. i went through the same thing, but she was only aggressive towards me when other rats were around. she is now spayed, very cuddly and going back with everyone else in a few days

sometimes it's hard for them to see if she is in pain, or sick. rat's hide it very well, actually. i had to get xrays done, and a blood test, etc to make sure she was just a mean rat and not sick or in pain. females should always be spayed, its much healthier than them not being spayed. no 'oops' litters, and it even decreases the chances of getting tumours!

It's good you got her checked out at the vet.
I too had a female who was nippy and a spay calmed her down but it doesn't always work on females.
Does she bite to the blood? Or just nips?

Ok, so that's pretty common with some females and males. I had one, she was persistent and would always nip my toes. It got to a point where I had to always watch where she was. It's almost like a game for them. When she starts to nip, remove her away from you for a few minutes. Hopefully she will get the message.
